"Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresea, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein."

"Art for me is that bit of order you can make from absolute chaos. Its what makes things beautiful. The way things can just come together from all the infinite possibilities. You take this one tiny snapshot of something real, whether it be something natural, imagined, a thought, or just an emotion. It’s all beautiful in that it is completely random, but the way you can put them together so deliberately makes it meaningful."

Decided to study in a new library today. And look what I found! A gorgeous book of photographs from my favorite city in the world! Home is closer than I think it is!

Thanks to Everyone
I sent thank you notes to many people today expressing my gratitude for everything that I am thankful for. I’m not sure where it started. I think it was just to a couple people through gchat, but then I began writing thank you on people’s walls and then in messages and then more. As I walked home from Upson, I just kept thinking of more and more people to say thank you to. I was feeling overwhelmed with positivity. I remember when this was an exercise we did in Positive Psychology, but today, it just felt natural. I felt so appreciative, and this was a good reminder of all the positive people I have in my life. I actually looked around as I was walking home and noticed for the first time, shining lights that reached out across Ithaca past west campus and over into the hills ahead. There were many lights, looked like city lights. They were so beautiful, and I cannot believe I had never noticed them till now. Most of the time, when I walk home at around 5am, I just look down and feel sorry for myself, tuned out to my iTouch on shuffle. But I didn’t listen to music tonight, and instead I listened to the night. I took it all in, the atmosphere. There was something beautiful in the air, and I couldn’t quite grasp it fully. But I liked this. I like feeling appreciative. I felt gratitude rush from me like love spewing from a pocket. I wanted to say everything I wanted to say and I did.
Thank you, everyone. Thank you, life.

There will be cake and giraffes and doves playing harmonicas
There will be elephants with netbooks, dancing bears, and giant caterpillars that rhyme"
